Robert Blitzer- Showing at Solaire, Hotel Paradox May 1-30: Artist’s Reception Friday May 11, 6:00 -9:00 pm

Robert Blitzer will be exhibiting his paintings for the month of May, 2018 in Solaire restaurant at the Hotel Paradox, 611 Ocean Street, Santa Cruz.  The exhibit is titled “Particles Matter” and will show recent paintings that reflect that the universe is made of tiny particles that unify to form everything in the cosmos, working together in a constant state of movement. These paintings capture a moment in time where particles unite
to form a beautiful pattern that sometimes is gone in a moment.

Robert’s metal work is direct welded brass, copper, steel and found metals.  Most of the works feature natural stones, crystals and semi-precious stones, reflecting the artist’s love of natural and refractive materials  Figurative forms are mostly dramatic in posture, expressing movement.  Robert’s Mask-like 3-D and wall sculpture faces seemingly reach back to a mystic era, when history was born.
