Born in Seoul, Korea, Joohee immigrated to the US in 1984 and received her B.A. from School of Visual Arts in NY.  She currently lives in the Tannery Art Space in Santa Cruz.  Her inspiration in her own words:  “The hills beyond Seoul have lingered in my imagination.  Here in California- where the hills rise out of the morning fogs- I am reminded of the hills beyond Seoul.  Memories of those colors and forms intertwined with the landscape of Central California in my mind and beckon me to my easel.”

Exhibit runs March 7 – March 28.
