After moving from Paris to Santa Cruz one year ago, Kalie Granier will present her works on the west coast for the first time. The impetus of “Women’s Swim,” an underwater variation of the worldwide Women’s March, is to question the Feminine in-and-of itself. Kalie’s work offers visual fields where realities can overlap. Her paintings invite both close inspection and a view from a distance. The variability of perception is emphasized by her pieces rotating nature, as one layer appears, another disappears, blurring in and out in a fluid orbit.
